The star has donated the complete sum of his twenty-five thousand pound honor winnings to the MVT, which works to save the UK's small live music spots.
The star was awarded the cheque on October 16 as his new release the album was declared the top album of the last 12 months.
Fender has decided to give the cash to the trust, in recognition of the crucial part grassroots venues fulfilled in his initial steps.
"As an artist couldn't be pursuing this success if it hadn't been for all the shows I performed around the region, and beyond, when I was starting out," said Fender. "These venues are iconic, but they are in difficulty."
Beginning in 2023, over 150 of these locations have ceased operations – roughly one-sixth of the whole industry in the UK.
In the last year, well-known musicians including Pulp, Coldplay, the singer Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have all supported the MVT in its efforts to support the industry, by adding a small levy to their ticket costs, which benefits independent venues.
He also took part, generating more than £100,000 on his recent tour to help numerous small stages across England, Scotland, and Wales.
These funds helped venues that were dealing with possible closure due to difficulties arising from flooding, fire incidents and bereavements, as well as licensing issues, conflicts and neighbor objections.
Other venues received funding support in modernizing infrastructure and sound and lighting systems that helped performers and audiences.
"The concept that revenue from shows in large arenas supports the independent spots, where it kicks off for artists like me, is just common sense," Sam Fender has stated.
He is not the first artist to donate his honor prize money to worthy causes.
In the band received the prize in the year 1996 for their record their work, frontman Cocker stated that the band would donate their prize money to the organization the charity.
During 2002, musician she divided her prize among a few good causes, like the NSPCC and a charity for Sickle Cell.
"And I donated a thousand pounds to the center, to their gymnastics program, because I did gymnastics when I was growing up and they needed new equipment," the artist shared with outlets.
In recent years, Ezra Collective gave their funds to the youth organization that supported their band, alongside other local music groups.
Additionally 1994 winners M People gave their award to a multiple sclerosis charity after a acquaintance was identified with the condition.
"Receiving the award was quite enough," said vocalist the singer. "The prize was the extra but we didn't need the extra, because we had the honor. So our success touched somebody else's life."
In the past week, the MVT revealed it had protected a couple of small stages in south-east England, by transferring them to local control.
The first in the city and the second in that location were acquired under the Own Our Venues program, which is funded by a national body and enthusiasts who buy "ownership units" in the buildings.
